When you begin planning your wedding you hear a lot of talk around ways to personalize your wedding, how a unique wedding is the most memorable and that couples who invest in the details truly offer an exceptional guest experience. But how exactly does one create these memories? What does that look like in terms of tangible goods?
For us, at Elegant Paper Co. we think these areas of personalization and guest experience begin and end with how you communicate with your guests through paper.
We often get asked by our custom clients how they can use their day-of stationery to be more than just numbers on a table or a piece of paper that lists out the afternoon's activities.
Personalization is our absolute favourite thing when it comes to working with our couples. Taking their vision for their wedding from a decor perspective and pairing that with informative, yet fun communication.
Erin and Morris took personalizing their day-of stationery to the next level for their Chester wedding.
Rather than listing each table by numbers 1 - 12, they opted to name each table after a different island in the Chester Basin, where the wedding was hosted and Erin's family spent their life sailing the waters.
In lieu of a traditional seating chat, they sourced a nautical chart of the Chester Basin itself, so their guests had a true understanding of exactly what their table represented.
Menus detailing their four-course tasting meal adorned every place setting and we created signage for their bar and food stations.
Our absolute favourite detail about Erin and Morris' wedding day stationery was an idea thought of by the Bride herself. Erin asked if it would be possible to create custom place cards for each of their wedding guests with a picture of that person with her and Morris. When guests made their way to their table, they were informed of where to sit, by their own picture staring up at them. Inside each place card was a personal note from the couple, thanking them for celebrating this day!
The guest's reactions were simply priceless and while collecting the images was certainly a labour of love on the couples part, it was one of those details no one will ever forget.
So there you have it! A few simple ways to personalize your wedding using stationery. We would love to hear your ideas and work with you to create your own custom stationery.
