For our second year we attended The Brides 2019 wedding show. We absolutely love creating our booth and collaborating with our sister company Elegant Productions on what we envision for the layout and vibe.
This year we were inspired by a stunning table linen in the showroom of Glow Party with a french blue toile pattern. From there we picked complimentary elements like large wooden shelving to house our stationery suites, cross back chairs and beautiful gold accents. The entire feel of the space was like an english garden, we even included a boxwood wall that resembled a traditional labyrinth hedge. Atop the boxwood was a lovely acrylic sign with delicate white lettering of our logos. Creating a space to display our businesses is always so fun because you can be as creative as you like and you can choose design elements you absolute love, that may not always be overly cost effective or practical at a real wedding.
On our table each place setting had mini cakes under glass domes with hand calligraphed place cards by Scribble and Script tied with grey chiffon ribbon. They were complimented by a stack of plates that started with a clear glass charger, then a navy blue dinner plate and a lovely white dessert plate with a flourished edge. Modern gold cutlery framed each place setting. One of the real show stoppers of the entire table was the most gorgeous floral arrangements by Chelsea Lee Flowers filled with three dusty shades of roses, loads of greenery and pops of blue. It's currently display on our boardroom table because we just can't part with it. She also created two arrangements in blue glass vases to adorn our cocktail tables.
The shelves were the perfect place to feature our stationery suites, giving each one it's own place to shine. Lisa artfully arranged each piece with care and I'm gonna toot our own horn here, they looked great. Draped along the tops of these were long greenery garlands, that made you feel like you were siting in the loveliest garden, also by Chelsea Lee Flowers. We used the shelves as an opportunity to show off our book An East Coast Wedding Planner and had an open copy on display on a cocktail table. We chatted with so many amazing couples about their wedding day and how the book can help them get inspired and keep their planning on track.
Tying everything together was hints of gold and brass with little decor accent like candle sticks and framed photos from Little Brass Co. Plus two large iMacs, one that displayed video by Arrow & Knot Productions and the other a slideshow of our weddings.
Here are some of our favourite photos from the day, along with the inspiration sketch Lisa created!
We think it's safe to say our design came out pretty exact to our sketch!
